COOLING TUNNELS AND VIBRATING TABLES

Our company collaborates with the German design and construction company ConviTec and together we offer solutions for cooling castings.

We have customised solutions, including:

The control system ensures continuous, very gentle cooling. To this end, a corresponding temperature sensor registers the difference between the supply and inlet air temperatures.

When there is a need to cool the casting, water is sprayed into the cooling air flow by means of controllable nozzles, thereby achieving the desired final temperature of the casting.

A cooling tunnel cools the castings to the customer’s desired temperature.

Gentle cooling enhances the quality of the casting and protects against unwanted structural changes and cracks.
The ConviTec cooling tunnel drive consists of a three-phase motor, belt drive and crank-driven slider.

The forces have been reduced by the anti-shock frame to reduce the loads on the foundations.

The cooling tunnel delivers air at high speed and, depending on the casting programme, water can be sprayed through the nozzles for additional cooling.

The hot and humid air is extracted and transferred to dust extraction.

COOLING OF CASTINGS

In cooperation with the SUPERBELT transporter, Magaldi offers a special system for cooling MCC castings.

TRANSPORTATION AND COOLING OF HOT SAND

Through the modern ECOBELT system, it is possible to transport hot sand or other consumables. An additional advantage is that materials can be transported at an angle of up to 450 degrees.

TRANSPORT AND COOLING OF USED MOULDING SAND

Knocked-out casting moulds need to be transported to the shaker. The conveying equipment encounters hard and hot material that causes rapid wear and tear on the parts, but under these conditions the SUPERBELT P conveyor is reliable.

VIBRATING TABLES

are used, for example, for knocking out moulding boxes and removing the core or removing sand from a casting. However, vibrating tables are used to compress or shake loose materials. Vibrating tables have no conveyor elements and operate at high frequency. The tables are powered by vibrators or, for higher vertical loads, by very robust and reliable oil lubricated exciters
Convitec manufactures tables sized 4000 x 4000 mm to withstand loads of up to approximately 50 tonnes.
